Double Happiness at Pop Craft Studio

Cat Rabbit and I have made a collaborative costume apron for the upcoming exhibition Double Happiness at Pop Craft Studio in Melbourne. Cat and I have wanted to do something together for such a long time and I love how this has come together... sparkles, rabbits, giant pom poms and charms... all the good stuff!

The show opens Friday night and all are welcome to attend. See the poster below for the important details...

Flow Paper Book

I recently illustrated a paper doll for the Flow magazine paper book. The paper book is so much fun, it's full of patterns and paper crafts, stickers, gift tags and cards... there's even glitter.

Every time I flick through it I think my childhood self would have loved this magazine.

Urban Outfitters

I made some bedding with Urban Outfitters! I've been patiently waiting for over a year to see this come to life and here it is. I'm so happy with how it turned out.

It is now available on the Urban Outfitters website.

It's a baby!

10 weeks ago we had a baby, her name is Alexandra and she is the most awesome thing I have ever made.

I am entirely smitten. Being a mum is a lovely, gentle, happy feeling that has actually surprised me. I'm fast learning the very difficult lesson of how to keep things simple and enjoying this new life with my little babe.

February is over...

So much for my great return to blogging in 2014, it's almost March and I'm yet to post anything.

This might have something to do with the fact that I'm pregnant, and only just starting to recover from four months of morning sickness! Since the beginning of the year we've also moved house and I have moved back into my old studio. It's been hectic but these are all great things, and it's nice to finally be able to sit down and enjoy life now that we're getting settled.

See above for some token Instagram pictures...

New Print Set

I have just added a print set to my shop. These prints have been professionally printed on 100% recycled, heavy weight card stock and each print measures 148mm x 210mm (A5).

It's a sweet deal!

Work in progress...

Here are some progress pictures of a new series I'm currently working on. I'm finally making time to work on my own drawings and it feels like such a treat! With these images I've decided to look back on past drawings of mine and continue to work with some themes and symbols that have always resonated with me. Hopefully I will have more to show in the not too distant future...

Tufts Ceramics

Recently the ceramic artist Ingrid Tufts asked me if I would create some new illustrations for a series of large bowls she is working on. We have worked together before on an illustrated cup and bowl set, a collaboration organised by Craft Victoria (which you can see here and here). I'm so happy with these new pieces, Ingrid creates such beautiful objects!
